WHAT IS YOGA?
Yoga is an ancient practice that combines a magnitude of different practices. The focus for Slow Brother Yoga is Asanas (the postures). No doubt I will write a blog post with more detail about Yoga, but if you are desperate to know now feel free to google it.
WHO CAN PRACTICE?
At the moment I am focussing on delivering yoga for men. Each practice can be adapted and modified for every body. I teach a power yoga style, however it can be as challenging as you choose to make it. I encourage all levels of fitness to give it a go and just take it at your own pace. You will be asked to read and accept the terms of a waiver prior to practicing.
I'M A LADY THAT LOVES TO FLOW? WHAT ABOUT ME?
I would love to take you through a class, but at the moment my schedule is very busy and I am only able to offer 1 public class per week and I am choosing this to be the Brotherhood. I would highly recommend checking out my fellow graduate Zsa Zsa here. She is an incredible teacher and will guide you through a vinyasa or more of a relaxed Yin session.
WHAT DO I NEED TO PRACTICE?
An open mind. Yoga provide so many benefits, but you will only experience them if you approach it with an open mind. Be Jim Carey at the end of Yes Man.
A little bit of space preferably somewhere you aren't going to be disturbed (i know this might be tricky at the moment)
A yoga mat would be great, if you don't have one not to worry, you could try a rolled up towel or a blanket. Be cautious with these alternatives as they might slip about on a hard floor.
Wear something comfortable that you can move around in (Pjamas are fine).
A tablet or laptop ideally but you could use a smartphone. The bigger the screen the better.
